Crunchyroll Anime Awards reveals list of nominees (2025)

The supernatural thriller “Dan Da Dan” and fantasy drama “Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End” were recognized by Crunchyroll, as they were included in the nominees for Anime of the Year in the upcoming Anime Awards in Tokyo, Japan, on May 25.

The anime-focused streaming service bared its list of nominees in a release on Friday, April 4, where fans from different countries (including in the Philippines) can vote for their favorites on the awards ceremony’s official website and app until 15.

Presenters for the star-studded event include “Stranger Things” stars Finn Wolfhard and Gaten Matarazzo, singer-songwriter Rina Sawayama, and “RuPaul’s Drag Race season 11” alum Plastique Tiara, to name a few.
