Graduation and Commencement (2024)

Overview of Commencement Ceremonies

Overview

UCLA commencement ceremonies are held in June during finals week of spring quarter. Commencement ceremonies are optional and attendance is not required to obtain your diploma. Degree candidates of the B.A. in Public Affairs are invited to participate in the Luskin School of Public Affairs Commencement ceremony.

Because departments and student organizations host ceremonies for their respective student populations, a UCLA undergraduate student pursuing the B.A. in Public Affairs may have the option to participate in several ceremonies during commencement weekend. Students who are completing a double/triple major may participate in additional School/College, departmental, and student celebrations. You can view more information about departmental ceremonies at www.commencement.ucla.edu.

To participate in commencement ceremonies, students are required to complete the ticket ordering process for each ceremony. Information about ticket ordering, including dates/deadlines, number of tickets, and process for ordering tickets, typically becomes available in early spring quarter.

The Public Affairs Undergraduate Program will notify students when ticket ordering information for the Luskin School of Public Affairs Commencement ceremony becomes available.
